Project Overview
LTR undertook structural strengthening works on behalf of AW Rail during a 72-hour blockade. The scope of work included:
- Weldability Testing: Conducted prior to commencement to ensure compliance and integrity.
- In-Position Welding: All welding operations were performed in situ for efficiency and safety.
- Structural Enhancements:
- Installation of new PFC beams with X-bracing to the underside of the bridge.
- Addition of X-bracing to trestles and overplating for reinforcement.
- Fabrication & Finishing:
- New mesh panels fabricated and painted to N9 specification, finished in Holly Green for durability and aesthetic consistency.
